Deal could secure 51M doses of COVID vaccine

A new manufacturing agreement to supply 51 million doses UQ’s COVID-19 vaccine was announced today between CSL and the Australian Government. Following successful clinical trials, the first doses will be scheduled for release from mid-2021. The deal between CSL and the Australian Government is based on two doses per person.

Positive results from UQ vaccine pre-clinical testing

Pre-clinical testing of The University of Queensland’s COVID-19 vaccine has produced positive indications about its potential effectiveness and ability to be manufactured. Project co-leader Associate Professor Keith Chappell has reported to the International Society for Vaccines on data from animal trials conducted by Viroclinics-DDL in the Netherlands.
