When Metro South Health (MSH) and the Brisbane South Primary Health Network (BSPHN) approached UQ Health Care to establish one of the Federal Government’s 100 dedicated respiratory clinics, the organisation took the opportunity to deliver on its mission and values and support the COVID-19 response.

UQHC converted the CBEH office suite on level three at PACE into the Cornwall St Respiratory Clinic, opening on Thursday 30th April. A total of 12 GPs, four RNs and four reception staff answered the call to operate the clinic in Annerley; and as at 4th June the facility had seen and tested 764 patients (all negative thus far).

“We are so proud that UQ Health Care has been able to step up to deliver a vital service to the community during this crisis; and we extend enormous thanks to the team members involved for their contribution,” said Darryl Grundy, CEO.

“We encourage anyone showing even mild symptoms to be tested at the Cornwall St Respiratory Clinic.”
